THE MISSION: TO DELIVER OUR CUSTOMERS A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE THROUGH SAFE AND EFFICIENT TANK TRUCK SERVICES.

Trusted Logistics Partner.

Our company was founded as Grammer Industries by Charles “Shorty” Whittington as an over-the-road transporter of grain and dry fertilizer serving the agricultural industry in Southeast Indiana. In 1977, the company entered the ammonia transport business through an acquisition that included the company’s first anhydrous ammonia tanker. Through additional acquisitions in the late 1980s through the mid 1990s, Grammer entered into the nitric acid and power plant anhydrous ammonia trucking markets.

In 1988, Grammer developed a MC331 transport cut-away trailer for use in training drivers on trailer operations. The company then began using the trailer to train emergency response personnel on liquefied petroleum gas and anhydrous ammonia rescue operation in the event of a crash. Today, many chemical manufacturers/distributors have implemented Grammer’s training for their own personnel.

Through organic growth and strategic acquisitions over the years, Grammer has developed into a leader in the industry and an example of how to do it right. With 50 years of experience as a safety-first transporter, we now look to leading the future of the specialized transport industry, with no plans of slowing down. We are the nation’s go-to force for specialized bulk tank transport.
